As much as I've been bitching about this place, I find myself posting here again, at least until I finally get around to coding my own webpage. This is another work in progress, pure practice -- there will be some supernatural elements in this later on (meaning as soon as I've decided where I want this image to go, exactly).
Done with minimal reference. I'm still trying to get the hang of hair, eyes, skin tones... everything I'm so woefully imperfect at. The original is more than twice this size and might get even larger once I know what I'm trying to do with him. Anyway -- his name is Sin, he's a demon, and he likes books more than everything else in the world. He will never lose his passion for books, but he will go on to become a cool and calculating interstellar mogul. However, in this pic he's still young and foolish and desperately trying to live up to his name -- and his father's example. [Belongs to the Black Label universe] |

He seems so innocent until you look at his eyes, and the expression there.
I think its really interesting that the picture as a whole is really bright and airy, especially his hair, and then you read the description and it just made me smile. You have a really good story going there, and I hope you will update this picture when you have done more, because I cant wait to see it
What paint package are you doing it on?
I am terrible at trying to do realistic skin tones on photoshop. I just cant figure out which parts are meant to be shadowed (more than the obvious) and which are lighter etc etc. Sad but true. Iv been slacking off and doing minimalist manga type stuff lately heh.
